Legalese please!

Law Public librarians can get a bunch of different kinds of legal questions. From looking for local noise ordinances to looking up a Supreme Court case for a report- we’ve heard them all. Here’s a smattering of online resources for all kinds of legal questions.

Search Supreme Court Cases at Findlaw

If your DCPL branch does not the have the huge set, you can find the Georgia Code Online.

In addition to most of your local DCPL branches having the print version of the DeKalb County Code or City Code (Chamblee Library has the print version of the Chamblee City Code for example), city/county codes can also be found online at Municode.

Atlanta Legal Aid Society or Martindale – For when you need a lawyer.

Nolo – The famous do-it-yourself books also have a website with some free information. Almost all of the DCPL branches have Nolo books, just ask!
