Ready to stop junk mail?

Among the most useful websites I found lately is this one: catalogchoice.org. It is a one-stop site for stopping unwanted catalog mail and help save natural resources. After you sign in, you get to choose which catalogs currently being sent to you should be stopped and which ones to allow in the future. Catalog Choice is a sponsored project of the Ecology Center, a non-profit organization.

Unfortunately catalogs account for less than half of the enormous waste that is junk mail.

Sign the petition for a Do Not Mail Registry at donotmail.org, to give Americans the choice to stop receiving wasteful coupons, fliers, credit card solicitations, and catalogs.

30 percent of all the mail delivered IN THE WORLD is US junk mail. Why are we receiving one third of the world’s mail when we don’t want it and never asked for it.

Sign the petition at donotmail.org !

KMT, Thank you for the useful information! We may make a future blog post about that info.
