In the Juvenile section, look for Make it! : Don’t Throw it Away – Create Something Amazing! by Jane Bull. This book advises you to separate trash into four categories (paper, plastic, metal and fabric), then tells you how to turn your junk into cool crafts. I especially like the mirror mobiles, made out of foil take-out containers, and the purses crafted from old jeans. This fun and colorful book also gives lots of information about why it’s important to reduce, reuse and recycle.
